In April this year, Qingdao Metro installed and put into use the first megawatt flywheel energy storage device with completely independent intellectual property rights in the rail transit industry at Wannianquan Road Station of Qingdao Metro Line 3. Focusing on the "double carbon" goal of "building a world-class green subway, achieving 30% power saving and 40% carbon reduction", Qingdao Metro installed and put into use the first megawatt flywheel energy storage device with fully independent intellectual property rights in the rail transit industry at Wannianquan Road Station of Qingdao Metro Line 3 in April this year. As the first single megawatt flywheel energy storage device with completely independent intellectual property rights in the domestic rail transit industry, it has many advantages such as high power density, high energy saving rate, high reliability, long life, environmental friendliness, high safety factor, etc. During the grid connection test, the flywheel energy storage device kept running in with the train operation mode of Line 3, and its kinetic energy and electric energy conversion, energy absorption and release all found the best fit point consistent with the actual power supply demand law of train operation.
